Lovely Ziggy had an owner in the UK but he did not have the best life and was not well cared for. His fur became very matted, his skin got infected, he wasn’t walked so he put on weight and his back leg muscles weakened so he was limping and couldn’t walk properly. He was handed over to a family who couldn’t keep him and had no capacity to treat him, so they wanted to put him down … their vet refused and they contact us. We said yes, of course we will help, so we are currently fostering him and trying to find him a peaceful home. We will help him with vet treatments to get him better.
Ziggy is a very kind boy, very human orientated, so he needs a home where people are around most of the time. He doesn’t like to be left alone. He is in a loving foster home right now where his back leg has improved and he has lost a little weight too. He is very happy but he is looking for a forever home or long term foster home. His current foster home is concerned about her cats, so feels it will be best to move him to a home with no cats. He is a very sweet Pomeranian mix who has quite a story to tell and will need love, compassion and time. We need someone who is home and has lots of time to give to help him return to health. The charity will help with vet costs. He is only small in size.
Do you think you could offer him the perfect, peaceful, long-term foster home? Preferably, he should be the only dog so that he can be the centre of attention. He loves his cuddles and to receive affection. If you’d like to know more about Ziggy, please contact us and we will tell you his full story.
