Romeo is a very cute boy who was rescued from a chain in a horrible killing station in Hungary. He is currently living with one of our lovely UK fosters. Since coming into foster care, he has proven himself to be a world-class cuddler—but only once he knows you are his safe person. He is a loyal, one-person dog looking for a home to call his own.
Because of his anxiety, Romeo would probably do best with a peaceful home without high foot traffic. He wants to be your shadow, your protector, and your best friend. He is agile, fit, and incredibly bouncy! He has excellent recall and is a joy to watch when he’s running. He is highly food-motivated and picks up training quickly, making him a fantastic partner for someone who enjoys brain games or active walks.
He is completely house trained. He shows interest in cats and wants to play with them. He would do well with a confident, dog-savvy cat who doesn’t mind a bouncy friend.
Romeo has come a long way, but he can be an anxious boy who can be reactive and unpredictable when he feels threatened or encounters people outside of his trusted circle. He has been known to give warning nips when he feels uncomfortable and scared. He needs an experienced owner who understands canine body language and is happy to provide a low-stress lifestyle. In return, you will get a sweet, silly, and incredibly devoted partner who will cherish every second spent by your side.
