This is our handsome boy, Carlo. He has been with us and in foster for a while, so we know him well and love him very much.
Carlo was adopted but sadly returned to us due to resource guarding. He returned to his original UK foster home where he is currently living. His foster home says that they have loved having him with them and have not experienced any aggression from him. He did resource guard his food when he first returned to them. However, he now sits nicely and waits for his food and can be approached and touched when eating. He has grown so much in confidence now and is currently living with a number of large dogs and loves to play! He walks beautifully on a lead, has good recall for treats and is a loving, playful, cheeky character – really enjoys chasing a ball and bringing it back. He is good when taken out for the day, behaves well in cafes etc. He is a very loyal dog who is happiest when he is with his humans – he isn’t a dog who likes to be left for long periods of time. He needs regular light grooming as he has a medium length, fluffy coat.
Carlo needs an experienced, adult only home. He is a large boy who likes to jump up to give love when he first meets someone – this is a work in progress and he is learning, but we recommend close supervision with children, as he will get excited and easily knock them over! He can now live happily with other dogs. In the home, he is an absolute dream to live with – you’ll never feel alone with him and he will return every bit of love he receives many times over. He’s incredibly beautiful and receives a lot of attention wherever he goes! He comes highly recommended to an adult/teenager home with large dog experience, where he can be part of the family and continue to grow his confidence.
