Lovely Jamala was brought to the UK to her new home in December 25, after being rescued from the streets in Hungary. She has formed a wonderful bond with the family who adopted her, apart from one family member. She is very loving with the mother, father and daughter of the family and displays this love to them all the time. However, she is reactive with the family’s son who is 21, along with visitors to the house and people and dogs she sees on a walk. The family has tried the help of a canine behaviourist at the house but they have noticed significant change.
The family says Jamala (Mala) is walked when no other dogs are around, as she barks and raises up on 2 legs. The family’s other dog is reacting to Mala barking and she tries to tell her off, which causes the 2 dogs to scuffle.
Mala will do anything for food or a treat. She likes cuddly toys that she can chew. She is small to medium in size, approx 12kgs and enjoys 2 meals a day. She has dried food and eats it out of a slow feeder bowl.
Mala needs an experienced family who will help her with her anxiety, be ready to distract her from triggers (her love of food will help) and help her feel totally secure in her environment.
