Pippa was saved from a horrible killing station in Hungary. She was desperate for help, on high risk to be killed. She got adopted in the UK a year ago and sadly her new family’s circumstances have changed meaning she needs to be re-homed. We are looking for a special committed forever home for her where she can settle down and be loved for life.
Pippa loves human attention. She is very affectionate and can get over excited when receiving cuddles – she has nipped her current adopter’s face when over excited and in close proximity, so is not recommended to live with or mix with children. She currently lives with another dog and 2 cats. Her adopter says she doesn’t like all dogs, but is OK with the dog she lives with as it is older and snaps at her to put her in her place. There have been 5 incidents where the 2 adopter’s dogs have had to be broken up so a meeting is essential to assess suitability if a resident dog lives in a potential new home. Also, despite living with 2 cats, Pipps still thinks they are a toy to chase, but has been scratched by the cats she lives with so will avoid them. When out walking on the road, she will lunge and bark if she sees another dog. However, she is not interested in other dogs when she is playing with a ball and in an open field. In fact, she is very ball obsessed and can nip fingers if you try to take one from her. She has some food allergies which can be discussed with her current adopter. She has a high prey drive, has caught and eaten a pheasant and has chased a deer for 45 mins before she could be retrieved.
Pippa requires an experienced home to bring out the best in her. She is a lovely dog with huge potential which she has not yet explored. She is a good medium size, around 23kg. Can you be the one for her ?
